On Sunday 6^th December 2015, the day after ‘Storm Desmond’ we made our way back to Ilaunmore to run our annual Novice by kind permission of Mr.Michael Manke. The Judges for this trial were Pat Brennan (A), Pat Greene (A), Willie White (C) & Jamie Cahill (C).

The task of guiding us around Illaunmore was shared by Vincent Kyne and Willie White, who brought us to the top of the Island and from there we made our way to the shore.

All throughout the trial the team of Guns made up of Tom Brennan, Fintan Kelly, Sean Moriarty & Ivan McAlister shot extremely safely and for the dogs at all times.

The Judges had 15 dogs to look at, all being run by a mixture of new handlers and some not so new. A good number of these young dogs fell by the wayside for one misdemeanour or another. Leaving the Judges with two dogs for a run off and a total of three dogs in the awards. Our new association with sponsors KRONCH was continuing with prizes for the winners.

Back at the cars the Hon. Sec. announced the result as follows, with the Winner taking away the “Open Season” Novice Perpetual Shield.
