We ran this trial on Tuesday 9^th December by very kind permission of the Dowling family, on the grounds of Coolatin Estate in Co.Wicklow, we were given access to woodland which provided superb ground for our spaniels.

This was our second year going to Coolatin and yet again we were not disappointed.

Judges on the day were Tom O’Connor, Jimmy King and Kevin Murphy having his second appointment as a ‘C’ Judge.

Ciaran & Jim Dowling shared the responsibility of Steward of the Beat and did a superb job of steering us around and keeping us in touch with the birds.

Our very safe and accurate team of Guns were, Ed McAuley Snr., Ed McAuley Jnr., Eoin Lowry and Fintan Kelly.

At the end of the trial the Judges called 7 dogs to water.

Before the result the Hon. Secretary thanked the Dowlings and the rest of the team in Coolatin who were extremely accommodating and hospitable to us.

As the Club was nearing the end of its 10^th Anniversary he also thanked all the Committees which had helped to run and promote the Club over the decade, he then thanked our main Sponsors – Massbrook Petfoods who had been sponsoring the Club from day one and were unfortunately going to be ceasing business at the end of the year.
