Open Stake – 26/11/2014

On Wednesday 26th November we made our annual trip to Birr Castle Demesne, Co.Offaly, which has proved to be one of the best grounds in the country for Spaniels. We were back by kind permission of our good friends in the Derrinsallow Shooting Syndicate.

Steward of the Beat for the trial was Tony O’Brien who has such a brilliant knowledge of the ground that we are able to get our job done effortlessly.

Our team of Guns for the day were Eoin Lowry, Tom Brennan, Fintan Kelly & Noel Tomlinson who all put the game on the ground when it was produced.

Our Judges for the day were Dermot Dunne (A), Louis Rice (B) and Christy Hasson (C).

We had another very good trial here, with the winner Jamie Cahill being a popular choice with this win being his first time qualifying for the Championship.

Our good friends at Massbrook Petfoods once again very kindly sponsored the event.
