This Open Stake was held on Sunday 4^th December 2011 on Ilaunmore by kind permission of Mr.Michael Manke.  Judges for the day were Ivan Wilson (A), David Lisett UK (A) and Tom Lowry (C). The Steward of the Beat, Vincent Kyne pointed us in the direction of the game crops at the start of the day. But again, in similar fashion to the last day on the Island the wet and cold weather seemed to have made the birds seek shelter in the cover on the shoreline. This was the first time for us to use an overseas judge, and it was a great pleasure for the Club to have David Lisett, who, along with our other two judges, proved to be a great attraction for handlers with 16 dogs and 10 reserves on the card after the draw was made. Massbrook Petfoods kindly came up with our sponsorship again and we are extremely grateful to them for it. Congratulations to the winner Pat Brennan with Clodahill Farah who was on a mission to have her made up to a F.T.Ch. before the Championship.
